I finally started playing Metroid Prime 3 on my Wii yesterday (insert various wii/wee jokes here ).

I now have two different rockets (ice and normal) and here is my dilemma.
I can not find out how to change between the two rockets. On the screen it will show you there are 40 normal and 40 ice rockets. But now I'm stuck on Ice rockets. The manual in-game and the book with the game doesn't say how. I can't find anywhere online that mentions it. Please help me.

If I remember correctly there isn't any need for switching, everything you can use normal rockets on you can use ice rockets on. And well, they're just better.

So yeah, I don't think you can switch.

Well, the doors sometimes lags a little whilst loading the next area, they use that system instead of loading screens. Just wait a little and they'll open.

I had to reload from a save because one of the doors got stuck (on the first freaking planet!!!).
I shot it about 20 times and ran/jumped all over the room waiting for it to open.
I also got yelled at because i was swearing and b****ing about the stupid door.

It was a normal door, i was trying to go into the save room which was where the door led. I think my Wii is fking with me. I guess that's what i get for not playing it for about 2 months or more.

I can see it's standby light from here, i think it's glaring at me.

I don't think you can switch between the two. I lost my instruction booklet so I don't know. All I remember is that the ice missiles shares the same effects as normal missiles (like open red doors and white doors). Just like other weapons you will come across.
