I tried searching Google and couldn't find anything useful for these programs. So I'm asking here if it's safe to remove these?

Activation Assistant for Microsoft Office 2007
Atheros Driver Installation Program
Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office system
EA AutoPatch
ESU for Microsoft Vista
HP Customer Experience Enhancements
HP Doc Viewer
Juno Preloader
Merge Modules
Microsoft Silverlight
Microsoft Works
NetWaiting
NetZero Preloader
WinSCP

I do still have Office 2007 installed. If you know anything about any of these programs and whether or not I can uninstall them, that would be appreciated. I have 11GB free on a 118GB hard drive, so I'm trying to clear out some stuff.

works is inferior to word, if you have word id ditch that.
Do you use silverlight?if no go for it.
I think ea auto patch is used by ea to check for new updates.
If the compatability pack is the install file you can ditch it, if its the installed file you may have issues without it.
I dont see why you'd need activation assistant any more.
The rest i dont know exactly what they are, id google it.
If the atheros driver program just searches for new drivers you could probably ditch that, almost every company has links to there drivers on there site.

Are these in your Remove Programs pane? Most of these look like simple installers that shouldn't be in there to begin with. If they are, keep the Atheros thing, that might be a program that looks for updates to your drivers. You can get rid of Silverlight, but if you use SkyDrive or any other Microsoft web sites, you might need it. In fact, you may as well keep it because it's not usually something that causes problems, and it can be useful at times. Some web sites use it instead of Flash.

Keep EA Auto Patch if you play any EA games regularly, otherwise get rid of it.

Keep the two HP programs. If you ever have trouble with your PC you may need them to get help from HP. ESU is HP's updater, so keep that.

WinSPC is an FTP client. You can keep it or get rid of it, depending on how often you use FTP. Remember that Windows Explorer makes a somewhat usable FTP client in a pinch, so if you don't use FTP that often, just get rid of it.

Lazlo Falconi :

The programs appeared in the Revo Uninstaller uninstall section. It's essentially Add/Remove Programs on steroids.

Sorry for the double post. Here's a snapshot of the window that shows all of my programs. Any idea which ones I can delete?

Sansa Converter, AVG, all of the Canon stuff, Cyberlink DVD, Defraggler, Dragon Age, Dungeons and Dragons, Chrome, HP DVD Play, iTunes, Jasc, LabelPrint, League of Legends, Malwarebytes, Firefox, Paint.net, Photoscape, Populous, Power2Go, PowerDirector, Printmaster, Quicktime, Real Player, Revo, Sansa Updater, Skype, Antispyware, and RGR Plugin are all staying.

The rest I don't know about. The only two that aren't shown are WinRAR and WinSCP. I think Roll is Rollercoaster Tycoon. If I'm right, then it's staying.

Quicktime and iTunes eat gobs of memory. You should get a smaller media player, and you can get rid of Quicktime, Cyberlink, and RealPlayer if you just get VLC, which is MUCH smaller. AVG and MBAM can be replaced by the smaller Microsoft Security Essentials.

But you're keeping those so... Get rid of Flash for IE (unless you use IE, then get rid of Flash for other browsers). If you're keeping Sansa, get rid of AnyVideo. Activation Assistant can go. Kill HP DVD play and Quick Launch Bar. Remove HP Wireless Assistant, Windows handles this much more easily. Muvee and HP games can probably go. What is Photoscape? That's probably junk. Get rid of Printmaster... Snapfish is unnecessary, you can upload via your browser. Which reminds me, if you use Chrome, get rid of Firefox, if you use Firefox, get rid of Chrome. If you use both, pick one and remove it. Having both just eats up space. You don't need Super Anti Spyware AND MBAM, and all of the stuff I mentioned before.

And you can probably get rid of Revo, too, since space is tight and Windows already provides a tool for that. In fact, anything you use that is provided in Windows by default should be deleted, because even if you LIKE it that way, you also need to clear up some space.

Microsoft Office 2007 looks important to have. Microsoft Silverlight I thinks important its usually part of window or microsoft updates. Microsoft Works you may not really need. Atheros Driver Installation Program looks important if its wireless software, unless you have another software wireless then it should be okay to delete it that program. The other stuff looks safe to delete.

I see you have Java 6 Update 30 as well as 7 Update 5. If you have not updated Java lately, do it now because I heard of a security problem with previous versions. (Lazlo,) Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but you should delete Java 6 since you already have a newer version. If your computer acts like mine did, it will default onto the older version and could reduce your computer's performance. Nothing drastic at this time, but best to stay up-to-date.

Firefox 3.6.3?!? What is this, 2010?!? Get the latest version of Firefox which is 15.0.

I primarily use Chrome, but I like to keep IE and Firefox in case I need them. I'm a programming major now and sometimes different browsers display things differently, so I'd like to keep all three available. Firefox is outdated because I rarely use it.

As for Java, I don't know crap about it except that some flash games need it to run.

I I first heard about the security issue with Java, I followed the instructions for disabling it in web browsers. Minutes later I find out you cannot play videos on Youtube without having Java enabled, so you are right when you say Flash needs it.

Also, you are definitely right that the three browsers display different things. I switch between Firefox and Chrome depending on compatibility issues, yet this current semester I found out that only IE will follow my college's web redirect when starting access.
