Ok, Pretty obvious why we're getting newbies. School is starting and everyone wants to ignore homework by playing the Rgr. I came on and saw in new posts a bunch of fresh meat posting in threads and well, I went " da'fu**, newbies taking over vizzed" then started thinking.... "huh, maybe the next generation of vizzed users came earlier than I thought (average gen. 2-3 years, my opinion since most users stay that long.)
(Example: 2006-2008, 08-10, 10-12, etc.)

Point is, I feel like things are changing faster than expected here on vizzed (which is great) and I feel like I'm behind stuff. What you guys think about the changes?

I guess i'm the definition of new gen. Randomly found this place off Google 10 mins ago lol.

Honestly, I didn't noticed this change...

But well, Let's hope this new Gen brings justice to what the old generations used to be: active and respectable members.

It's always nice to get new members coming in, 'cause there's always a chance that a handful of them are cool and make these forums more enjoyable for everyone.

I was using the RGR back in 2009/2010, but didn't register.. I of course didn't read a lot and soon figured out to save you must be registered.. If I saw that I may have been a trusted member by now, and the new generation is OK... But- they in my opinion are cocky and arrogant and full of pride thinking it's that easy to get Trusted or Elite, heck staff can be hard to join... But I wish them the best of wishes!

I guess I don't get exactly what you mean. Popular forums have a steady ebb and flow, it's not a new thing. You're right with the school year bringing in all sorts of people, but I thought that the summer had this place buzzing more than it is now. I don't know I guess, I don't dislike the new crowd that much because very few of them actually make an impression on me, and the ones that do usually get banned for being awful.

Like Sox said, eventually there'll be some keepers who'll stick around, but the rest of this 'generation' will just filter out gradually as more come in. That's just how it goes. As for the newbies taking over Vizzed... of course. It's all the people who are completely unremarkable/spammy/bad posters/rule breakers that keep the place thriving. The regulars and mods just post around them. If we just kept the regulars, this place would die. We'd have nothing to respond to, laugh at, correct, or expand upon. So Vizzed would come to a grinding halt after a few months.

People can dislike newbies all they want, but they ultimately run the show. We're just on clean up and maintenance.

TheNameWithNoNumbers : Not saying it's bad. It's just, I feel like that the few that will stay will make a big impact to vizz than I did (3 years and barely trusted with no mod job)

KG : Yeah, you actually do know what I'm talking about. Sorry if it's not clear since I typed it late @ night. Newbies, no impression except one, but he's a "one post only, and I'm gone" type of person. Others are just spammy (think about Tour de Vizz and VCS, oh god. The MAIN EVENTS of the Newbie show) Yeah, they'll filter eventually and then again, comes the next wave in 2-3 years.
