If anybody likes The World Ends With You and had been looking for it, they might have noticed the countdown page on Square Enix's Japanese website.

And if you followed it, hoping to learn about a possible sequel to TWEWY, you were probably quite disappointed with what we got - An iOS port.

Now, while this could be worse - like a really, REALLY bad sequel - it's disappointing in it's own right. a week of buildup, and we get a PORT? A $20 port, even. The "new" features being some gimmicky Twitter-related stuff, a different gimmick to Fusion attacks, and a new skin. When the best part of your "big release" is the BGM on the countdown page, that's not a good sign.

I don't actually own any Apple products, so I'm going from the trailer here, but it really seems like a giant letdown. Unless somebody who has bought it can point out some spectacular new thing about it, I'm going to write this down as a loss and wait hopefully for a proper Subarashiki Kono Sekai 2 release sometime soon.

I waited with hushed breath.  A new TWEWY game?  No, it is a miracle from heaven itself!  It is so amazing, that it cannot be!

Alas, my words were true.  In fact, I think my words were, "A F***ING IOS PORT?  WHAT IS UP SQUARE?!  COME ON! REALLY!  GAH!  *Smashes head into a wall*"  I believe that is how it went...  Somewhat.

This news just made me mad.  Why, WHY would Square consider doing something like this?  To vomit in the face of their fans?  I was introduced to this series by and friend and I loved it.  Seriously, this is like the whole thing with Mega Man in Street Fighter X Tekken.  After this, there better be some changes.  TWEWY and Deus Ex: Human Revolution were the only games I liked from Square Enix.

Ugh, WHY SQUARE?  WHY?!  THAT IS ALL I ASK?!  WHAT MADE YOU RATIONALIZE SUCH A MISTAKE?!
