When I try to play a n64 game an error will pop up saying : No hardware-accelerated Direct3D devices were found. Switching to the reference rasterizer, a software device that implements the entire Direct3D feature set,but runs very slowly. I un installed it and re-installed it but kept on giving me that error. I don't know what to do! Will I ever be able to play n64 games?I really wanted to play Conker's bad fur day!

Try this: Type the Windows logo key +R. In the Run box that opens type dxdiag then the enter key.

Once the diagnostic tool opens, on the Display tab check at the bottom if you have DirectDraw/Direct 3D/AGP Acceleration disabled and if there's an option to enable them.

Failing that, you might have to either update Direct X on Microsoft's site or uninstall and reinstall it. Or chances are you just need to update your video card driver.

Well let me know the results of the dxdiag and I'll get back to you about that other stuff.

ShiningLightningBolt : If you use the 1964 emulator you can configure the controls to whatever you would like. Also, keep in mind that a lot of issues with the N64's controls are because the controller itself was awkward at times.
