My favorite YuGiOh series is the original, because it is an absolute classic. I watched over the Japanese version and I liked it a lot better though. I also liked YuGiOh GX, because that still held an interesting story and everything. I left when 5D's showed up because I didn't like synchro, and I'm not fond of the idea of card games on motorcycles. Some sort of hallucinogen must have been used in the creation of that.

To me the best Yu-Gi-Oh anime is the original because it has the best story line and plot and the cards were creative back then with really cool designs in the monsters and because I grew up watching and enjoying it.

My favourite is Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters. The rest aren't very good in my opinion. Although 5D was also pretty good. Those are the only two I actually would watch.

Why isn't Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series an option ? lol, I say the original, Jaden annoys me, I don't understand the card games on motorcycles concept and zexal, the main character is just annoying !!! But that's my opinion. I grew up watching the original. I didn't even pick a second option, I don't like the others at all.
Edit: I had just checked out Season Zero, and it's rather dark, in the rest of the seasons of the original Yu-Gi-Oh they never addressed how evil Yami used to be. They made him into a do-gooder.

I would have 2 say that the original one is the best. I was in 6th grade when it came out and i still remember playing it with my friends and going 2 the tournaments. Unlike pokemon it wasn't nearly impossible 2 learn when you was a kid lol. I know that the original pokemon and the original yu-gi-oh was before some of the peoples time on vizzed or it could of been around when they was still in diapers but for the people around my time i bet that a lot of them would agree with me.
