I've never heard of "bronys" until I saw a video for it on YouTube. It does however strike me as odd that most viewers are adult men :/ I assumed that that was not the show's intentions and they excepted views from young girls. But yeah, I'm indifferent, I don't hate them in anyway at all.

Though I do not watch the show, I feel that everyone has their right to their opinion. Plus the community is mostly built on nice people, so I can't really complain. 

MLP is pretty much the only show where the fanbase is as great as the show. In fact, the fanbase is probably better than the show itself.

Eh... I don't mind them really and the show is ok. So, I could be ok being with bronies and such

I never seen the show personally, nor do I find it interesting. I suppose my vote is "indifferent."

I don't dislike "brony's" though. It's just not my cup of tea.

Well it's pretty obvious what my views are being a "brony" myself. 

The way i personally see it was that My little pony was created a while ago and their target audience was young girls.. And all the products and shows were pretty girlie and feminine basically. 

My little pony: friendship is magic..  It's more generic... and it's not really solely based on little girls... It was pretty much created as a show that parents could watch as well. They wanted to branch out to a wider audience and that is what they did.  Even cast member  go to events held by bronies... they actually actively post on twitter about it as well.

In a sense I'm annoyed with the generic view of "well it's a girls tv show so men should not watch it.... it's wrong"

Mainly because people used to associate things with girls and boys like boys = blue and girls = pink... Whilst in this day and age that's pretty much gone out the window....

Let me put it simply.... If you saw a girl watching a cartoon that was aimed at a male audience would you call them "abnormal and wrong" i pretty much doubt it..... but for some reason if a man wants to watch a cartoon that is based off a girls franchise...then it's wrong .

Though i guess it's kinda expected as most teenagers are more bothered about their social standing...

Anyway if you think I'm weird or whatever good for you.. I'd rather spend time enjoying my life though instead of scrutinizing others for not being a stereotypical person...

Before I even place my vote in the poll, I should explain my position on them. Even when I first found out about this unusual trend I did not have any opinion on it because the idea that adult men would watch My Little Pony never clicked in my head. I only noticed them online and mostly on Halolz. MLP related images would pop up ever so often and the community at Halolz was generally accepting --both the people and their submissions. Over time some of the regulars were getting annoyed not at the bronies (I had not even heard of the term "brony" at this point) but at the frequency of MLP related images being posted. To me, it looked like it was potentially dividing the community. One person posted a link to an article he wrote giving his opinion on the MLP: FiM and its fans. That review did not satisfy me, so I became curious enough to watch an episode.

That one episode became two, and I realized I was impressed with the show --though I did not become a serious fan of the cartoon until February. Ever since I first watched the show back on September 17th (Holy crap, it is only two weeks away from now!) I made online contact with other bronies, and I can say it has had its positives and negatives. Most of them do not agree with my Christian beliefs, and that is understandable. These people tend to respect my beliefs, though some of them have been more vocal than I expected. Heck I have had two people reply to me in rude ways for the dumbest of reasons --unrelated to my faith-- but this does not damper my view on bronies when looking at the big picture. Overall I see bronies no differently than non-bronies other than the fact that bronies and I enjoy the same show --and maybe share a few inside jokes. Instant comrade, but no better or worse than anyone else.

I think that bronies are just people who like a show about ponies. There's nothing wrong with it (im not a bronie).

I share similar views with KG, Muffin and Aura...
So check your source('s) of information before passing judgement on the matter.

The fan-base is like any other. Varying levels of 'fandom', including extremes, which all fandoms have.
It has a huge amount fan based content, and the show caught a lot of publicity, that's all.
The show (FIM) is for kids (not young girls, kids in general),
and doesn't mean it lacks intellectual substance that entertains more then a child.

My vote is: I like the show and the fan base.
