My laptop has been fixed! Geek Squad fixed the issues I had. It turns out that the battery and fan were fine. One of the few times i dropped my laptop, some components came undone. GS reconnected them, got rid of tracking cookies, and made my computer work like it's widescreen. I LOVE MY LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can see it now...
~opens the laptop and parts fall out everywhere. Ras- "oh no where do these go". loses 5 parts and because he didnt ground himself fries a cicuit or 2. lappy now costs $500 more then before to fix~

anyways congrats Ras it looks like you can finally put your lappy problems behind you, at least for now.

Ice: fair enough.... it just sounded like such a simple fix.

I'm just so used to opening up my own machine when I want to do something to it, or I need to fix it. I forget that even people who use the internet regularly don't actually spend time playing with computers like some of us have.

Well, after thinking about it, my laptop has always been messed up. The fan would blow for 4 seconds and stop for 2. The monitor wasn't in HD or widescreen. So, my laptop has been messed up since I bought it. Turns out that it just got enough and finally crapped out. So, it's a very good thing that I dropped it lol.
Geeogree: I don't know anything about messing with hardware. I know about messing with some program files and such but nothing about fixing hardware. It didn't cost me anything to fix it because of my 2 year warranty so that's good.
Icewave: Yeah, i'll get the Last.fm thingy in a while.
Dark: For now... for now...
