After installing the updated retro gaming room plugin I wanted to play Dotstream(the game of the week). But when I opened up the Rom, without chat box if that matters, about 10 seconds into the start of the Rom there was an error which stated "Unsupported BIOS function 0d called from 0800fcee. A BIOS file is needed in order to get correct behaviour."

I'm not familiar with situations like this and could use some help in how to fix the problem. Is this due to the new version of the plugin, or is it solely my computer/a installation error on my part? Help would be much appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Stratazing : Sounds like for some reason all the files didn't get transferred over. Please un-instll the update. Then make sure to download a new installer from here: https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=8676

make sure your BROWSER IS CLOSED when installing.

Reboot PC:

Then with Firefox or Chrome try to load this game: https://www.vizzed.com/play/super-mario-bros-3-nes-online-nintendo-nes-684-game

This has been reported as an occasional error with that particular emulator you can see info about it here: http://www.ipmart-forum.com/archive/index.php/t-140928.html

Let me know if you still are having problems after this, or if the problem was resolved.

That's normal for the emulator. Normally you'd just click OK and the game would play, in this case you'll have to click back on the game screen.

I decided to see if it was solely Dotstream that had the error and found that another game(for the game boy advanced) worked just fine. This leads me to believe it may not be a problem with the new plugin, but rather the game itself. I may try a few different platforms of games to see if it's a platform issue. I hope this sheds a little more light on the situation.

tRIUNE : Same thing happens to me with that game but it is playable after clicking OK. Having read the forum that I posted below, that error doesn't really make a lot of sense...anyways it doesn't really matter because the game functions even if it is a little strange.

Jordanv78 : Thank you very much. I closed the browser and re-installed the plugin, I could play Super Mario 3 just fine though when I opened up Dotstream again I got the same error, but this time it actually let me play after I closed the box unlike previous attempts.

This situation has basically been resolved. Although there is an error with the rom/emulator when the game first loads, you can continue and the game is perfectly fine.
