There is no "Best" they all are equal. Tepig is gonna practically beat everything because Tepig is build off Physical attacks, Snivy is a special attack pokemon, Oshawot is a mix of both Tepig and Snivy with good special attack and attack, so I recommend Oshawot.

Out of all the times I have played White (same as Black pretty much, minor differences) I have found Tepig the number 1 Pokémon starter in the Unova region. Combined with the best Pokémon to be on a team with it can beast through tons of challenges. It is the only Pokémon I have on my current file level 70 because it is so easy to train with because of the moves it can learn.

Although I personally prefer Tepig, he is very weak in terms of defense, and the right Pokemon could destroy him in an instant. Snivy has great defense, but the lack of good moves kind of ruins his worth. Oshawott would probably be the best all around, but any of them would work if surrounded by a well-developed team, of course. Since I believe these three starters are returning in Black and White 2, I will probably pick Oshawott next to see how that goes.

This belongs in the Video Game Franchises forum, so I will move it there.
For the record, Oshawott is the best starter, because he is of the water type.

Choose Tepig or Snivy, it is probably like great Pokémon starters and it can be like a great journey with those two.

Plus, the gyms for them are fine.

I normally ditch my starter because of all the pokemon that out class the starters. Chandelure and Darmanitan are better than Emboar. Lilligant and the other one are better than Serperior. Jellicent (in all it's mustahcey glory) and Carracosta outclass Samurott. That mans the best starter is Drilbur.

Even though Oshawott is one cute but tough Pokémon, I like starting with Snivy better.  I usually always start out with the fire starter but when I first got Pokémon White, I like Snivy better.

zelda2 : According to Serbia, the best starter in Pokémon Black And White Two is the Water type, Oshawott. He is awesome in every gym and the Elite Four except for Gym Number Eight, which is Marlon. However, by than, you should have a decent grass type to help or even the Incredible Verizon! A well trained Sunkern, EVOLVED, should help immensely. Samurott
has only two weaknesses unlike Emboar ( 4 )and Serperior ( My favorite, but has the most weaknesses, 5 ). Good luck and have a great Samurott!

I would use Oshawott for a few reasons. 1) I don't like the other choices, because they is either a grass, which has lots of weaknesses, and Tepig is yet another fire / fighting starter. 2) Oshowott is a water Pokémon, which is always a good type to have. 3) I think his stats are the best, for how they are distributed. 4) His moveset is the best of the three.
