Ok so 2 months ago I went threw my old PC and thought it needed some revisions done to it. Here is a picture of it kinda messy and ugly, Specs are after the picture;

Case - Thermaltake Armor Full tower (old version)
CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0ghz
CPU cooling - Silverstone Nitrogen
Motherboard - Nvidia SLI 680I
Graphics card - Gigabyte GTS 250
Power Supply - cheap 550w cheifmax
Hard drive - Western Digital 7200rpm 300gb
Optical - DVD/CD burner Sony brand
Optical 2 - Lite-on Bluray player

So after some thinking and finding cheap parts and doing a few upgrades, Its an older system so I wasn't gonna go a ton of money into it. Here is some of the parts I got with links to them;

Case - Rosewill Blackhawk Mid-Tower - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107
Power supply - Diablotek UL series 675W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817822016
CPU cooling - Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
CPU cooling fan  to do a "Push/Pull" effect - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103069
Motherboard - EVGA Nvidia SLI 780I - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188024
RAM - OCZ SLI 4gb - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227269
Case Cooling, Behind Motherboard fan - Scythe 120mm (only 12mm thick) - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185139
South Bridge Cooler -
  Enzotech SLF-1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835708006
Mosfet Cooler -
Enzotech MST-780i - http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7599/vid-112/Enzotech_MST-780i_Forged_Copper_Mosfet_Heatsink_-_BFG_EVGA_XFX.html
North Bridge Cooling - I used the old heat sink and set up a fan to blow the opposite way instead of onto my VGA.
Wireless Adapter - Rosewill RNX-N180UBE - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166056
Graphics Card - MSI GTX 550 TI Cyclone 2, OC - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127573

Not a bad list, Dire needed things to make it playable for Diablo 3. The old setup could play it just not well.

Here is the new case with power supply mounted, ahhhhh nice cable management and bottom mounted PSU

here is the stack of parts, Minus the North bridge cooler on the top right (didn't fit) and the VGA, Mosfet are not pictured but will be later

This picture is the new motherboard and CPU cooler mounted, this is the initial setup in a later photo I changed it a little (notice the stock north and south bridge coolers)

Here it is mounted inside the case

Looks pretty good, color matching. I like this case a ton.

Here is the setup before the change all completed and running well and cool

here is outer view

So after all this got done my Mosfet, and VGA came and I can add them in here is the south bridge cooler the cables wrapped around have been moved and organized better, gonna get black sleaving to make it not so noticeable.

here is the Mosfet

Here is the final setup today, Notice that I changed the orientation of the CPU cooler to point up and out, so that the North bridge cooler shoots its air up into the giant fans. And the VGA is in there and running smooth!

So after all this was said and done, I now have proper cooling and now I over clocked my CPU from 3.0ghz to 4.0ghz, and ran it threw prime for 24hrs and memtest for 24hrs with zero errors here is a picture of prime95 running

Smashbros64z : Yea that would be an epic computer! The price tag on that is insane! I would Love to have a Level 10! Those are so beautiful! I drool every time I see one.

Sroag : Thanks! I tried, The next time I do an upgrade it will be a whole new system. GTX 570's are so nice. I couldn't afford that. I really want a new computer soon since Unreal Engine 4 is coming soon and I'm sure my PC will epically fail at it haha.

Forgot to Mention I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and about 2TB of HD space with 7200rpm WD's

Pretty sweet rig, man. I want to make an IvyBridge build too, but I doubt I'll be able to justify the price of it, especially when my ancient system from 2007 still place most games at full speed. Pretty cool though.

Lazlo Falconi : Exactly what I was thinking as well. Until there is a reason for me to need a I7 core I will build one, and by then they will be cheaper ha ha. I enjoy having my Core 2 Duo, I don't have any issues with any games at the moment. At least with the ones that I play which is all that matters anyways.
