I've always wanted to play Earthbound, but never got around to take the time out to play it is it worth my time?

PS : yes I am a fan of RPG's of any type/platform

I just wanted to hear from others who have played it already if it's as fun as it's supposed to be.

And if you liked it (or develop an obsession of it, like me) you should play Mother 3 and Mother 1 (the other, and imho, better games in the series, not to say EarthBound is bad, it's SO AMAZING! It is one of the greatest classics ever made, and the game is outstanding for many reasons. Compared to the other games of it's time, the graphics were much much better. It's one of the first clear-cut picture rpgs that lets you roam wherever you want and you can play it at your own speed. The battle graphics are surprisingly good as well, and the different animations add superb effects with sounds and color, which gives the game a bit of intensity. The soundtrack is also good;another reason this game is one of the best. If you have not played this game, I strongly suggest you give it a shot.
