There are a few issues (small) on the forum board, but I don't know if it's only me that experiences them or even feels the same way.  I can only think of two right now. If you agree, can you voice so below so that I know I'm not crazy or doing something wrong?

1.  The first issue is the length of time notices appear before pages re-direct. For example, once you make a post, you get that little notice that tells you how many Viz you've earned, or if you try to do something you're not allowed to do as a newbie, you get a little notice.  After the notice, the forum re-directs.

I feel these are on the screen for WAY too short of a time!  I hardly get to even locate them, much less read them, before they disappear.  Is there any way to get them to show up longer?  I think they're quite important, and it is difficult to read them in the time they are up.

2.  When the sub-forums say "New" because there's a new post, and I go read that post.....when I go back to the forum, it still says "new".  It doesn't matter if I've gone and read it 30 times.  The only way I can get the "New" notices to go away is if I scroll to the bottom of the forum and select "Mark all forums read".  Is there a setting on my browser I need to change, or does this happen for everyone?

I'll post any other issues as I remember them.

1. I actually find myself getting impatient with those pages. They go too slow for me. I pretty much always click the auto-redirect link because it's taking too long.

2. Yeah that's pretty much how it works. After you click to "Mark Forum Read" try going into that forum again. All of the blocks next to each thread that said "NEW" will have a red X inside the box instead. As a former mod, I can say honestly that it's a lot more convenient to have it set up that way.

Thanks for the response BNuge!

1.  Is it possible to have a setting on the forum board which gives you the option of foregoing those little notices?  That way, people who want them can view them for longer, and people who don't want them can skip them altogether.  Once I'm on this site long enough, I might get to the point where they annoy me as well, but as a newbie I find them very useful.

2.  Hey, if it's more convenient, then that's just fine!  I simply didn't know if I had some settings on my browser I should change, but I'm glad to know that everything is working properly then.

I did think of another thing that I'm either missing or I would like to suggest.  Because of the way the forums are marked "New" or "Read", it's really difficult to tell when your threads have been responded to.  I know there is a list of your posts on your profile page, but the list doesn't say much.  It would be nice, maybe, to see if you were the last poster or if someone else was.  Either that, or give a small text preview of the last post to know if you've kept up with the thread or not?   If you need an example, I'd be more than happy to supply one.
