I recently purchased a ceramic 12 hole alto ocarina from e-bay. It came in the mail not too far back and I have not put it down since. I am a type of person who prefers practicing one song at a time, and currently I have "Saria's song" and "Zelda's Lullaby" down from the legend of Zelda saga. I'm excited to learn much more music in the near future.

Yeah man I'd love to, I'll post one when I get back to my house later today. I really want to paint over it because I don't care for the colors and I'm quite artistic (not to be confused with autistic) so I think I could make it look pretty sweet.

Also, cool with your ocarina. I used to have one too, but it got lost in a move and I haven't seen it since! It was this fake clay looking one from Arizona, it was pretty cool lookin'. I would have loved to have more time with it it, I'm totes jelly that you mastered some songs on it already, too! Keep up the good work, champ.

Thanks a lot KG. I just accepted your friend request. And thanks to everyone else in this thread but I come bearing some terrible news. I painted my ocarina yesterday and although it looks friggin sweet, I can not get the high notes very well because I think some paint got in the mouthpiece. But I still play it very often and who knows, maybe I'll get a better one soon. A triple ocarina would be amazing (cream in my pants).

I have a plastic 12-hole ocarina. The color is pearl white. It's about 15 dollars at eBay. The quality is not as good as traditional ceramic, however, it's really good for a plastic instrument.

crazycatpup : You should totally get one. They are not hard at all as long as you get a single ocarina that has around 10-12 holes. I wouldn't start out with buying a $300 triple ocarina as your first one because you may find out you don't care for the instrument that much. The expensive ones are sure worth the money but just start out with a plastic one and a songbook if you want. Playing the ocarina is incredibly easy (I had never played a flute like wind instrument ever before and I found that an ocarina is super simple). I totally think you should get one.

I have seen a video on you tube of a boy and a girl playing the Dragon Roost Island theme from The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker (but I forget what the video was called exactly). The boy plays a classical guitar while the girl plays an Ocarina of Time ocarina that looks like it has 10-12 holes. It could be the one that you have.
