So yeah, Avatar is an american show influenced by anime that was produced by Nickelodeon.

It's also awesome. The story is quite original, the characters are very entertaining and the fight scenes are amazing.

personally, i think avatar is not such a great series if you compare it to japanese anime. but it is impressive if you compare it to most american cartoons.

Yeah right because actual good animation, well coordinated fight scenes, character development, and interesting plot is inferior to most animes.

i'm still waiting for the day american cartoon industry will be so good as japanese. but seeing avatar makes me feel hope that there will be better cartoons in the future. all they need to do is to notice that people are tired of all that dumbness in tv. american live action tv series got surprisingly good in the last years(lost, 24, heroes, csi, house...). the same thing need to apply to cartoons.

I really enjoyed this show. It was the first american cartoon that actually had depth to it. It was just your regular random cartoon that never goes anywhere. I loved the story and it's characters.
