Holy bajesus... I applied to a newspaper based online called "The Providence Examiner" about a week ago. My uncle told me about it and he said he'd look out for my application.
Well, after a week of waiting, I got this in my inbox: "Thanks for applying at Examiner.com. We have reviewed your information and believe you would make an excellent Providence Literature Examiner. If you are still interested in joining us please reply to this email within the next 2 days and I’ll send you the next steps to get you started writing for Examiner.com! In the meantime, here’s some information..." So yeah, I now have a job, which means I have INCOME! I mean, it won't be a whole lot of money (I think $5-$10 an article and +$10 for every 1,000 views on an article) but it's MONEY! It's better than the $0/year income I used to get 
I'll make sure to include a link to my Examiner page once it's all set up after I submit my first article. But yeah, I have a JOB! This takes so much weight off my shoulders.
