I think that will turn out to be "pokemon mystery dungeon" ...... as far as I could compare.... but anyway, for the gameplay. I can help how it may turn out out if it comes to gameplay. I want to get some ideas using this thread. I just hope more people comes and replies about this..

That would be interesting indeed, One way I could think the game would be like is "sonic colors"..... there is a lot of ways for how that crossover would be like. Interesting crossover though, that's gonna be a lot of fun..

I was sort of thinking of a Kingdom Hearts/ Pokémon mix, too, but more of a Pokémon story line with the Kingdom Hearts battle system. Like trainers could also fight in the battle, but it wouldn't end when the trainer runs out of hp, he'd just be out of the fight, but he could use items and decide which Pokémon to use next. It's like a Kingdom Hearts where you have to pay more attention to your teammates than yourself.
