So I wanted to catch up to see what James Rolfe as been up to lately (AVGN) and I saw a video referring to Cheetahmen II the lost levels...It seems that the current owner of Active Enterprises actually has a Kickstarter to fund a project to complete the game...

Say it isn't so... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/343248998/cheetahmen-ii-the-lost-levels?ref=live

Crud, it is

What are your thoughts?

I've seen AVGN's video. It really is E-begging to make a crap game become a FULL crap game. I really don't like Cheetahmen 2. A full game would be okay, but come on. Really?

Yeah I understand what you are saying. Thing is that this patch has already been done on online roms which is basically what they are doing. They are just taking that and turning it into a cart reproduction with comics, maps and all sorts of extra crap they are throwing in.

I feel bad for James regarding the backlash on the whole thing. I think he basically jumped in and did the video with Pat the NES punk and it backfired on them because they knew little about the actual project.

I honestly get sick of hearing about these kickstarter projects where people are out to make a ton of money on your donation. I mean if you want to start a project that bad, do so with your own financial backing. IT doesn't seem like the guy who is starting this project is hurting for money..he should front the costs.

Look at a guy like Sivak who made battle kid. He programmed a whole NES game and did so with very little donations (If any) and he made awhole original game. He didn't take some online patch and threw it on a cart.
