I hate them, pre-ordered RE5 and i don't have and it should be here today, waiting on a reply to an e-mail i just sent them, and though i would express a little bit of my hate to you guys

it's hard to have sympathy for you. You pre-ordered a video game and it's not here yet.... is your life truly over? It's just a game.

You have all the right to be mad. Amazon SUCKS I will never use them again. They are slow shippers and their UPS deliverly peeps suck at delivering on time. Go buy somewhere else

I always find myself wanting to try Amazon or another site like it and then getting turned off by a story like this. Then again, I kind of hate the idea in the first place because when I give up money, I'm generally anal about having a product in my hands the second I do.

Yeah a lot of times people just mis-understand things. I've sold over 500 items on ebay and a lot of my buyers would mix up the date which I ship things out with the date that they'll receive the item. Another thing to remember is that when it says you'll receive it in like 3-5 days (or something similar), don't expect to get it in 3 days, plan to receive it in 5 days that way you're not pissed off if you didn't receive it in the minimum of 3 days.

I also love amazon, I've had no problems with them. Also note that when you're buying on amazon your either buying from amazon or a seller on amazon so amazon can't be blamed for a bad experience from a seller on amazon.

Last summer I purchased a detox set from amazon and the set was missing a bottle and instead of having me return it, Amazon sent me a whole new set in a way to say sorry for the troubles and the box missing the bottle was probably not their fault anyway but rather was probably the fault of the company which made the detox set.

1 last thing, when you pre-order something, sometimes you're on a waiting list based on when you ordered it.

True it might not be Amazon's main fault could be UPS mostly. I have had multiple times where they simple "could not find my appartment or house... happened at many locations I lived at" and then they make me drive to their facility located 50 miles away.

Better way to order is through ebay, there are some really good sellers who ship 3 days before item is technically released just gotta search around for them.

I love Amazon, but you do have to be smart about the marketplace since you cannot trust all sellers. Basically, don't trust people that have less than 5,000 ratings, even if they are all positive. I ordered something once from a guy with 100% positive but only 20 ratings, never got the item and would not respond to emails. Amazon's main sight is amazing and they do their best to please their customers. I pre-ordered the core books for D&D 4th edition and Wizards f***ed up on the number of books that they sent Amazon, so to make it up to the people that had to wait for the books they upgraded the shipping to one-day for free.

As of yet, I've had bad experiences on eBay. But I do like that because of the way eBay works they will refund your money if you don't get your item. It's really the only thing they have better than Amazon.

I personally enjoy Amazon. It brings me problems when I see some things slightly cheaper and then end up buying them though. That's a good reason why I tend not to sign into my account so I don't just hit the buy button randomly. I end up not using half the stuff after a period in time. It's great for impulse buys!
