I can say that I unfortunately have never played Diablo 1. But I can remember when I was a kid (8 years old) I used to live in New Jersey, and every now and then we'd visit a Internet Cafe because as we passed by it I was very interested by what the people were playing. They were playing Diablo 1 and 2, Starcraft, and Warcraft 2.
In any case, I always thought Diablo to be one of those uber-difficult super-hard games. I was wrong.
Diablo 2 is pure awesomeness and as soon as I got it, I love it.
Now I wonder, does anyone else play it?
If you're wondering, you can get both Diablo 2 AND the expansion for a MEASLY PAYMENT of 5$. I forget the site, but I will list it if you want me to.
The site sells just the CD-Keys, which you then use to make an account and download the Diablo 2 Downloaders.
Simple and easy.
If you already have the game and play it, want to party up? I'd love to roam around with someone rather than with just myself.

Edit: This also is a great game to play before Diablo 3 comes out, which will be legendary. The release date is not announced for Diablo 3, but one rumour has me believing a certain date...

I played it and enjoyed it quite a bit until I beat the game the first time and was expected to go all the way through again and beat it a second time.... and then a third time. Sure it got harder as the game went on and the gear got progressively more awesome but I just felt like the game kind of lacked when all you did was repeat the game 3 times over.


Other than that I love the game. If you also play WOW then you can see dozens of abilities that are similar to WOW abilities that were thought up for D2 and the ported over to work for WOW when they came up with classes for that.

If you go to the stores too, the game should be rather cheap and they also have the chests out there that sell Diablo 1+2 and all the expansions, and it'll also come with strategy guides and a big book and what not. The same can be said for Starcraft and Warcraft, they're good deals for the uniniated.

Either way, yeah both Diablo games were amazing and the best thing is that Diablo 2 is getting a content patch before 3 comes out.. unprecedented considering how old the game is.

Ah, Diablo II. I have played every Diablo since the first one, including the little-known HellFire, which was originally the sequel to Diablo, but ended up being the same game just a little different items and spells and such. This is an awesome series, I still play it to this day. I play on the USWest server, battlenet username is Logster2 on Diablo 2 and Starcraft, and I am willing to play with anyone, but can only do so when I am at my dads right now lol.

I unfortunately play on the USEAST servers, but I could join you or you could join me for a adventure or two.
I really need a D2 playing partner.

I am a large fan of the Diablo series, I have played the first diablo although it was not very entertaining/fun at all.

I play LOD alot, I have a zealer pally that does 6k dmg per second, phoenix, grief.. etc

I love, love, love this game series. I started from the very beginning with the first Diablo, then got Hellfire (which is actually the expansion built by Sierra), played through Diablo II, and then got my hands on Lord of Destruction to start the experience all over again.

A lot of people get bored with playing games like these so much, but I still play all of them to this day. Out of the two that are out, though, I'll admit that I prefer the first one. It set the atmosphere for the series, and the levels you went through changed every time you started a new game. The quests get mixed around, too. The next time you play through the first one, what quests you get will vary, if even only a little. But enough about that little gem, this is about Lord of Destruction.

I have an account on the US East server of battle.net, though I've been afflicted with the same problem as many other members of the service. I can't join any games, and no one can join any of mine. It's very, very frustrating when you're trying to play a game with half of your family and no one can get in any of each other's games. ._. Either way, my account on there is Kaidona as well. I play StarCraft on it, too.

They are probally upgrading the Battle.net servers and system for StarCraft II so that might be why the bugginess.

I hope they fix it too. D: Battle.net's been like this for upwards of two years now, and it's terrible. I'm pretty sure they've been ignoring all it this time because they'd rather focus all their maintenance energy on WoW. -.-; I'm not particularly fond of that thing; I see it as a terrible bastardization of the RTS it's spawned from.

I have a druid that's only into act II on the server; I ought to pick him back up sometime. Either that, or make a new character, since by now I'm more calculated with my character growth. ._.

I wouldnt mind starting a character from scratch then no matter who plays we can work together.
Mind you I never bothered with all the advanced talent tree stuff like specing a toon a certain way, so it could be like I'm completly new to the game

If I recall, Battle.net doesn't care so long as someone with the same key isn't online when you are, because you can make a Battle.net account without even owning one of the games playable on it.
But I could be wrong there. I'll have to look into it, because I'd be in the same situation as geeo unless Neyro can remember that site he mentioned in his first post?
