Just saw Total Recall over the weekend and this movie was really well done in my opinion.

Took the idea of the first movie and "modernized" it to a degree. Actions scenes were awesome and frequent. Graphics looked good and weren't over done.

I really liked the movie and recommend it to everyone. My wife saw it with me and she doesn't usually love movies like this but she thought it was awesome too.

I saw an ad for Total Recall the other day but didn't realize it was an advertisement for the movie!

I've seen the original and really liked it! So much, I purchased the special edition version on DVD!

My question to you is, is it exactly like the original except with replacement actors/actresses? If not, what differentiates it? Does it take place in Mars as the original?

Anyway, I definitely wanna see it!

I have not seen the new one, but I have watched many interviews with cast and the director. This one follows the movie much better. They wanted to make it clear that this was in no way a remake of the first movie. Like the book, it doesn't take place on Mars. At least this is what the interviews stated.

United something of Britain, and the "colony" (Australia) which is were the poor and rebels lived its really cool they take this craft threw the middle of the earth to get them there. Pretty much follows along the lines of the old move. He was a spy for the USB and was to infiltrate the rebels but ends up joining the cause and the USB steal him back and plant the fake memories in him to make him forget and finish the mission. As in the old movie he has this urge to go to "RECALL" his wife was a plant his old buddy from work was a plant. There are some other similarities and some other differences but if you are that into the original you will definitely love this one, its just a more realistic future like but that is a given with the graphics we have now a days.
