Well having the Side-Boards wasn't necessarily a bad idea, just don't have the traffic to support it (yet).

Anyway, this is what I'm going to work on doing, merging all the side-boards into a single board as it use to be. Some boards will be merged with others, and some will be gone completely. Also note that the index will be a big bigger than it is now since it'll have a lot more forums on it. However, this might be for the best to reduce confusion among members.

I originally wanted side-boards because I planned to take a different route with vizzed board, which was to get a flash community going which consisted of users working together to make games, but not only was that sorta a failure, that's just not where I want to take vizzed board anymore.

Anyway, in the next 24 hours you'll all see some reconstruction with vizzed board.

Any suggestions or questions, please post them here.

My goal is to have no more than 6 forums per category and hopefully no more than 26 forums on the index page total (not including private forums but including the cans)

I have a change in mind.... move Christianity down to North and move Anime up there. It just seems like North is a fairly serious forum and it makes more sense to have Christianity down there and have anime in town square.

well, maybe move Game Creation - General Discussion & Flash Game Development to North as those are probally more serious discussion rather then nessicarily for gamers.
plus the circle sort of is overflowed compared to the others

Anyway, I'm about half way complete with the construction, will finish it tomorrow. What do you guys think so far (on the index page)?

i think the board looks weird. It's probably just because I'm used to the other way. I agree with Ziggy though. Christianity belongs in North and Anime belongs in Town Square. It still feels a little...odd though. I'll get used to it I guess.

Edit: When you were working on the site, it didn't allow anyone else on did it?

He was working on it earlier in the evening but we all had access while he did it.

So far it looks good. I really didn't like having the side boards. After I checked the main page I didn't want to bother hitting any of the side boards. I think it's better this way.

The moment I saw this page was the moment I actually bothered to go to the index and look for different things. Wow, talk about idiocy.
Anyways, I actually like the change. Side Boards made me feel like they were off limits if I had no input. Something different I guess.
In any case, whatever way the Leader of Vizzed paves is the way we shall follow.

Edit: Wait, why put the ROM stuff out in the open? Isn't that a little less than legal?

Neyro: The rom stuff has been out in the open for quite a few months now on one of the side boards. I figure we'll be able to slip by.

I'll take into consideration some of the suggestions.

This all sounds just about right, the way that it's laid out now is radically different than anything else I've ever seen.. just seems like resources are being stretched far.

wow, it's kind of nice to not see as much at the top anymore.

Having the sideboards listed up there took up a lot more space than I realized. I like it a lot more now.

Ok well I've taken a few requests into consideration, I'll have to put more thought into DM's request.

Also made a few modications to what I previously planned out which included having a new category called 'Get-Your-Rom Triangle' which will contain only 3 threads but threads relating to GYR and/or emulation, roms, etc.

I've turned the anime section into both an anime and cartoon section. Additionally, I think anime section draws enough attention to have it's own forum on the index.

I think a good rule of thumb might be to allow each category only 5 forums (except GYR category which is 3 and this also doesn't apply to private and the cans)
