Well, I am going to go see King Tut today at the Pacific Science Center here in Seattle. I highly doubt they will let me take pictures with the camera on my phone, even though it does not have flash on it, but we will see.

This should be fun. And for those of you that are not in the Seattle Area, I will post a.... recollection of what I saw, and try to explain it as best I can. This is either going to be so cool, or a waist of twenty-eight dollars and fifty cents.

Sounds awesome! I saw a pretty cool exhibit similar to this here at the Field Museum in Chicago. I love that sort of stuff. Keep in mind that at a lot of these exhibits they don't want you to take pictures

Jordanv78 : Actually, that is why I asked you to post here. They said you could take pictures, as long as they weren't flash photography. XD

I was only able to get the half of the exhibit. I was actually trying to get a picture of every artifact they showed, but when my phone gets on "low battery", it won;t let me take any more pictures, so I was only able to get about half of the entire exhibit.

I am not going to try to embed every single picture... so I will just post the facebook link to the album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.402387826489014.94408.100001534011017&type=3

Enjoy.

Jordanv78 : I don't know, honestly. The audio tour (would have been 6 extra dollars if I hadn't of bought my ticket in advance) came in handy a lot. I don't know if I have a favorite piece, but the collassol statue of tut was just... amazing. On the audio tour, it said stand before the statue, and feel the power coming from it... I know I felt something, and it was not natural. But the piece that really stood out to me was the canopy jar that held King tut's stomach (they had the thing opened, but it was empty, and it looked cleaned out, or something...). the jewelry was amazing too. The tour said that Tut had over 150 things on his mummy, among pendants and neckaces. The thing was amazing, but I don't know if I would pay 27.50 for an advanced ticket to go see it again.

And then the gift shop was pretty cool. there were a few things that I wanted, but I was a few dollars short of being able to get. I ended up settling for a necklace of mummie beads (basically, a remake, kinda, of what they found around a mummies neck... I can't remember if it was on Tut or not.
