OpenDNS is an alternative DNS service.

A DNS is the server that translates web pages into IP-addresses. By changing to OpenDNS you can get faster domain name resolving, you can also filter out phishing sites, and filter out any other sites you may dislike and a ton of other features.

I'd recommend looking it up.

Edit: When switching DNS take note of what your original settings were, if something f***s up then you have to know how to change it back.
