ok, psx games on ps2.
put the disk in the ps2 making sure a psx memory card is in the slot if you want to save.
thats it. ps2 plays psx games no problem, no special training needed.

as far as playing roms burnt to disk on ps2, you need a modified ps2 to do so.
someone will post more details quite soon im sure

for burning the games to disk you use a normal cd-r (whatever type, it shouldnt matter) and a burning software like alcohol 120% or imgburn

yeah i had forgotten about that, is this the one you mean: http://www.swapmagic3.com/

you still sort of have to modify your console if i recall, as in rip off the front panel of the fat ps2 or change the cover of the slim.

The difference is that no one can prove that you have used swap magic, so any warranty is still left there.

Personally I find mod-chips better but those kill the warranty.

yeah thats the one
the slim you have to open and install 3 little peices.

the fat one is simply a tool that pops the drawer or you can get a flip cover top.

And it really does work i can take a pick of the cd, dvd and the peices to prove i own it... however since i am moving from the states to canada i have not bought a PS2 yet..

My son has tested it and has played 10 different ps2 dvdr games.

some ps2 games work flawlessly and some games for some reason only come out black and white. im thinking its prolly cause its a newer version of the slim. wont know till i find a used PS2 for cheap.

also the sight says ps1 games can be played.

ummm if you have a ps2 then chances are that the warrentee is already over...lol

you can always play PS1 games on pc

I use PSX its idiot proof the only thing you need to get for it is mem card bin files ( all i did was copy these from espxe folder)

espxe is another emulator very hard to set up and very hard to get working unless you know what yer doing. I use it to play game PSX doesnt play.

both have programable controller/keyboard setup

Put the game in the PS2. There, your done!
i think your playstation memory card has to be in a specific slot though, in order to save.
And you cant save playstation games on a memory card.
