Wow. I'm tempted to say the issue? You've way too much stuff installed on it. Do you need all of that? Do you use everything? If not, try removing some addons.

Given you can get it to open, that is...

Have you tried ending the process then trying to open it?

Have you tried restarting your computer?

If none of this works, uninstall FF then install it again.

I have to agree with Rocky on this one. That is way too much stuff. Just download stuff that you use often and delete the stuff you hardly use.

This is a prime reason as to why i no longer use Firefox. Too many plug-ins. It's far to easy to overinstall and mess it up.

"Page title eraser"

I think someone has been looking at poooooooorn~

Protip: Go trough your addon list, any addon you don't use daily might as well go. And then do a reinstall too.

Or switch whatever.

Mhmm. Sure. Denial won't get you anywhere.
Plus, thats a horrible way to get rid of porn. What you need sir, is a "PANIC" button. A Handy button at the bottom of your screen, when clicked, turns it black. Click a certain button, it changes back. Handeh for illegal stuffs.

And Firefox being a souped up IE? I'm sorry, but techie or no techie, that just goes against everything I know and love.
I demand to see proof to back up this statement.

And who needs search providers? Google is where it's at.

Also, XP is up to Service Pack 3, if I'm not mistaken.
Why are you still on 2?
Go update.

EDIT: Ron, if you're ten years old, why are you on the harsh, dark, and corrupted place that we know and love as the Intrawebz?

when they said SP3 they were refering to XP not FireFox.

also it seems the new upgrade for FF has caused the issue in some comps...

http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=uk&comments_parentId=269856&forumId=1

one person said this though...
----------------------------------
FIXED myself

went into the desktop Firefox shortcut>properties>compatibility and unchecked the compatibility mode -was checked for win 2000 - ?? not sure why this was checked, but it works now, Yippeee
-------------------------------------------------------
if it still dont work try uninstalling and installing the previous version.

Hey Ron, how often do you run Windows Updates?
Make sure to get all of the new updates, they fix loads of security holes, and really, why do you not have Service Pack 3? XD
So yeah, go git it and then tell us what happens.

Not sure which one you need to download, maybe someone better at computers than I can lead you in on that one. I would be inclined to think the largest file, but who knows, that could be wrong.

You do use the Internet Explorer Windows Update button located in your Start bar, right?
If not, click Start, All Programs, and at the very top there should be "Windows Update".
Click that.
