WARNING: Bad game approaching!

A Gamecube game named "Pokemon Channel", it sucks so bad, you would rather turn into the Angry German Kid and pretend that the keyboard is Pokemon Channel when you play this.


(Also, this is the first ever GameCube review, YYYYYAAAAAAAAYYYYYY! )

Development

In 2003, after a lot of pokemon games being released by Nintendo and "The Pokémon Company", they went to release the second ever pokemon game for the GameCube, a system that was really good at it's time. What did they get? A game that resembles most of the same style of gameplay from the 1998 "Hey you, Pikachu!" game for the Nintendo 64. But guess what? It became worse, although everyone else thinks it is a decent game, but not to me...


Graphics: How can a game like this have decent graphics!?

They are decent for GameCube standards, but I find some ok things with some graphics, the wallpaper you can get seems good and it has some designs, there are even funny designs of different TV's. But what can I say about graphics? Nice job.

Graphic rating: 7/10



Sounds: I HATE PIKACHU!!!

Most of the sounds are perfect enough, but there is one set of sounds I hate. Guess who... IT'S PIKACHU!!! Just about only 2 different sounds that comes out of him just makes me easily say "PIKACHU IS SO DANG ANNOYING AND I DECLARE THAT THIS GAME SUCKS!!!" Seriously, the only sounds I hate are the sad voice and the mad voices, they make me want to fire up a B-17 Bomber plane and drop a nuclear bomb on pikachu while I am hundreds of feet in the air!

Sound rating: 7/10



Addictiveness: Stevie throws a Morshu bomb at Pokemon Channel!

It might seem fun, but once you beat the game, you might give up and throw the game in the trash because after that, there is nothing left, so it would be pointless.

Depth: That's it!? Only 5 short system based days!? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!?!?

Only 5 short days, counted by the system clock on your Wii/GameCube system. (You can play GameCube on the Wii, you know.) But still, only 5!? Why isn't it a long game like most games are, take RPG games for example. They take weeks of hard work to beat. But this game, you could beat it in as little as 5 days. If you change the system clock foward one day after completing the objective, yoy could beat the whole game in as little as a day, butthat requires you starting around 12-2 PM and hopefully ending by by 12 AM. Lack of consistency at making a long game. Hey you Pikachu was way longer than this game so...

Depth rating: 2/10


Story: Why bother putting this in a really short game!?

The story of the game is that Pikachu was talking with Torchic and Treecko in pokemon language and while they talk, 3 magnemites are flying and holding a TV, they carry the TV over to your house, they slowly drop the TV down in front of your door, and then the game begins. That makes me feel like this isn't even a game because of how the story goes. It makes me feel that this should be a little kids game! If it was... I wouldn't have played it.

Story rating: 5/10



Difficulty: This is actually the easiest game I ever played! JK, it is so easy, I would stick my head in a pirahna's mouth!

Like I said earlier, this game is way beyond too easy. It seems way easier than "Hey You, Pikachu!" and it is suffers from lack of long days and a long game. Just like "Hey You, Pikachu!", it has none of the following:

- Game Overs (You know, like a rated EC game. EC stands for Early Childhood.)

Last but not least:

- Lack of hard to find stuff.


This game is way too easy, and that is what mostly ruins the game.

Overall: What are ALL of the problems with this game?

Well, I can give a chart of 20 reasons why this game sucks:

7. Biggest problem: POINT AND CLICK game, if it is a point and click bullcrab game, WHY NOT RATE THE GAME EC FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD 3+!?

9. Pikachu Hates the TV being turned off. 
10. Pikachu Sad and Mad emotions and voices absolutely "p" me off!!! 
11. Pikachu jumping at you / random things and bouncing off. 
12. Boring story. 
13. Boring gameplay. 
14. Too lazy to create a fun game. 
15. Lack of long game. 
16. When you click "X" when making a decison, pikachu gets mad early in the game, then sad later in the game. 
17. Pikachu Forces you to say yes on every decison. 
18. Prof. Oak Forces you to name your pikachu. 
19. Pikachu Wants you buy the things he wants. 
20. Goes as crazy as eating 200g of sugar when he gets furious and mad.

All 20 perfect examples of how bad this game is.


But guess the worst part about it was... This game made me HATE PIKACHU FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!! I'm dead serious!

If you ever buy this game, throw it in the trash, like a angry guy! >

Seishiro Leonhart : The game name is Pokemon Channel. The box art made me say "NINTENDO, STOP PUTTING PIKACHU IN POKEMON FOR GODS SAKE!" Also, take a look at wikipedia's game ratings for pokemon channel, they say it is a decent game, but I say that it is a god awful game the should have never been made, same with "Hey You, Pikachu!".

Judging by what you said... It appears to be possible... However, most part of EC are kinda bad.

You must also, remember that stevie hates pikachu. But it might be a bad game. Some people might like it.But  Don't assume it is a bad game just because stevie said so. He is the number one pikachu hater on vizzed.

I actually liked the game, many features, like the mini-game arcade in it, and the fact that it had the Pichu bros. short, it wasn't all that bad, I'll give it a 6/10 maybe a 6 1/2.

I Didn't think that Pokemon Channel was THAT bad, I liked the game and it's collectathon aspect (I really loved those Pokemon Minis) and sure Pikachu got annoying but I didn't really mind that.

I have to disagree. This is one of my favorite games ever. I still love it. But I see why you dislike it.

Also, this game was so bad, I quit the game months ago, just a few weeks after I reviewed this game. > : D SWEET REVENGE! Now to burn those Pokemon Channel copies and do the same with Pokepark 1 & 2. Those games are a load of damn horribleness with only letting you play as pikachu, the same fate with pokemon dash, that game sucks major butt, almost as much as this game I reviewed.

Wow this game sounds awful! I am so glad I didn't buy it with my money.

Look,i'm an expert with gaming,and i can tell you,Pokémon Channel has over 9000 hidden features that can only be accessed by using certain devices...you see,it's not that Pokémon Channel is bad,it's just that it is incomplete.It feels like a game,but it could be much,much,MUCH more than just a regular Mini-game party collection.This is why i'm envy of japan,they get all the awesome stuff,while we get the watered down version of games.Some games don't even make it to America.Thank god that there are websites like vizzed.com that allows you to play translated games.Thank god.
