I hate Vista and i want something...different. Could I please have some help? I'm considering switching to Linux. I heard that there is need to download drivers for things such as wifi. Also, there is another concern. I use Flash Player at LEAST once a day. I so need to know if Linux has a flash player; if so, is it any good? Thank you guys for your help.

Ok, just so you know:

1) Getting Linux means little to no games.
2) Getting the s*** to work will take loads of configuration
3) Bad media support unless you take ages to fix it.

If you still want Linux then just download Ubuntu or Kubuntu and get going. If you cannot download and install it yourself then Linux is really not for you.

Also, this goes in Computer Discussion.

THAT sounds like my cue! :3

I hear you can test out linux OS's without having to actually install them, you just need to get a disk to test it out with.

As far gaming, there are windows emulators that will allow you to run most PC games.

It is a hassle to change over, that's why I haven't done it. I'm tempted but I doubt I'd be willing to put in the effort I'd need to get it to work just how I want. Ubuntu and Fedora are most similar to Windows from I hear. In that they're easier for people who are just switching over from Windows.

This is all second-hand information I'm regurgitating from people who've tried talking me into switching to Linux, so I could very definitely have my facts wrong.
