In this thread, what is the best Mario game ever in your opinion?

My favorite was probably Super Mario 3DS. It was really cool with the 3D graphics and the map was fun and cool. Especially with the Tanooki suit.

pacman1755 : Original Mario is the best.  But you got to love Super Mario 3 because it changed everything.  Mario 2 was great too but was a complete copy of another game except that you can choose Mario characters.

It's definitely a toss up between Super Mario World or Super Mario 64 for me. Both were total time wasters for me and I have gone back and beaten these multiple times. I just did it with Mario 64 a few months ago actually. Maybe it's time to do it with Super Mario World now...
