July 7th, 2012Just another day, I suppose. But that last couple of days, since my last blog entry have been pretty eventful.
So, that BBQ I was talking about? I think I did something to my left ACL (or whatever the muscle is that is behind your knee-cap). I guess that is what I get for being an idiot and jumping over fireworks while they are going off (and no, not the ones that go into the air... the ones that spark and go up a few feet).
I think I had... shoot, about 6 or 7 grilled pieces of bread, about 2 pieces of rib slab, about 5 or 6 pieces of pork that were seasoned perfectly, and then some Carrot Cake and cookies. I also had a Pepsi, a Vanilla Coke, and a NOS. I was going around the block party, hanging out with people I did not know, but were pretty cool. I ended up playing a few games of croquet, some horseshoes, and hung out at the local band's concert they were doing in somebody's yard. They had some of their own stuff, and it was pretty good.
When I finally got home, I had just finished up my NOS. And man, I crashed, and I crashed hard. Only problem with it is that I went to sleep at about midnight, and woke up at 6, fell back asleep, and got up at 7. I only got 7 hours of sleep, dang it.
And then the 5th... I ended up going to a BBQ with some people I knew in the area. We ended up throwing water balloons, and only like...4 of the 20 or so people were allowed to be hit. Of course, somebody's kid creams me in the back with a ice cold water balloon near the end. Oh my gawd, it was cold. It was O K though, because the parent dumped a water bottle full of water on the kid. *Sweet Revenge*
Not much else happened on the 5th though. So on to the 6th...
I got my laptop taken away for the day because I did not get up exactly when I was told to. Mom had an interview (that she swore she told me and my sister about, but in fact, did not), and she was going to drop us off at the library on the way. Well, I got up 5 minutes after she told me to, so I got the laptop taken away for the day, which is some total BS in my opinion.
I ended up reading a book for a good part of the day, and then went to Port Orchard with my sister and Mom. We walked through a couple of old antique shops. They had some neat stuff in there. And then there was this one place that this old guy had. He had been in the Vietnam War, and he had some souvenirs. But that was not what really impressed and got me interested; it was all the other stuff that he had. He had stuff from World War 2, some stuff from the Korean War, and some other stuff. He even had a dupe of the Medal of Honor. A guy earned it, and he said he felt that he did not deserve it, so he gave it to the man. He ended up having to get a duplicate of it, because of the FBI (not sure how they factor into it...); according to him, they check in on him every year or so because of something about trading or something. But the guy had some other really cool stuff. He even had a real Purple Heart.
After we left there, we went to the candy shop, and got some taffy's. I got a pack of Giant Vanilla Flavored Tootsie Rolls, and my sister got some Candy Sticks. Unfortunately, the taffy had little to no flavor in any of the ones we grabbed a handful of.
We finally got home, decided that we were going to go to a Minor League game. The game was good... up to the 3rd inning. The score was 1-1, and then the opposing team got 5 runs in the 3rd, and the rest of the game was uneventful. We left in the 8th, with the score 6-1, and the only score the home team had gotten was off of a home-run. I even tried to get a foul ball or two, but whatever side of the field I was on, the ball went to the other side. we got home. And watched the rest of the Mariner's game, and then went to bed.
I woke up, and read 2 more chapters of my book, and then got on the laptop, did my notifications, and here I am. July 7th, 2012
