Hands down, my favorite is the Nintendo Gamecube. I grew up on Nintendo consoles, but the Gamecube always had me coming back for the games' quality and replay value. Not to mention those little disks! I always misplaced my memory cards since they could only hold so many save files, but eh. The console itself is also very nicely compact and easily portable. I remember my brother bought an attachment screen and we used to play Mario Kart and Pikmin in the car during road trips. And four player Phantasy Star Online, crammed around a tiny screen? Maaan, those were the days.
I've also been really craving to play the original Gamecube Animal Crossing, since I don't own a 3DS yet and thus haven't purchased New Leaf; but I'm away for university so I don't have access to my old Gamecube! Arghh!!

I like the xbox 360 because the games are really good. I also like the wii because of the way you get more interactive with the controllers in the game, plus I have had it the longesr and used it a lot. I had great times playing mario kart and other games like mario galaxy, mario party and a whole bunch more. I don't really care muchfor the newer consoles, they are too expensive and there aren't many good games out for them yet anyway so I can't really say much about them. My favorite would be the PC because you can play every thing on it. If the PC doesn't count I would say GameCube because it was my first console I'm sad to say I never had a N64 because I didn't know video games until I was 7 as sad as that is I wish I was a gamer sooner.

My favorite console is the Nintendo 3DS because it has a huge selection of games to download or buy from stores, the controls are easy to learn (and I really love the touch screen controls!), and it's in 3D, unlike any other console!

NINTENDO WII:  I love how you can control what doing through motion with the Remote, even the Nunchuck works with motion sometimes..  It also has a vast amount of accessories the make games like "Mario Kart: Wii", or "007: Goldeneye" that much more RADICAL!!!  The Wii is a very under-rated game console.

2. SONY PLAYSTAION 2:  I've gotten MANY PS2 games for about 9 years now, whether it's "Taito Legends", "Fight Night: Round 2", or "The Omega Strain", the PS2 is just a good time!  It was definitely the greatest game console a generation or two ago, introducing DVD capability to home game consoles!

3. NINTENDO GAME BOY ADVANCE:  The GBA has been my trusty portable M-16 of gaming for 11 years now, you can play EVERY Game Boy title, from Game Boy Original, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance!  Granted, it does not have a back-lit screen, but there are light add-on's to it.  It's basically a hand-held, backwards-compatible Super Nintendo Entertainment System!
