My Alias is Marcus O'Terra. It's a handle I use on a firefly role play site. I'm a Mac user, cause it's what I've had for the past six years an I've no money to buy a new one. (PC or otherwise)

Anyhow I'm here because the You tube Machinima maker MaxofS2D. I've heard of Earthbound before but he's doing A TF2 machinima that's in the same vein as an Abridged series. So, I decided to check out the source material.

A Google search brought me here. So yep. Awesome sauce.

I'm noticing it takes a while for the roms to load in the Java page. Though I guess that's understandable. Hey I'm patient and I have nothing else to do over the summer. So playing the game seems like a cool way to kill some time.

A favorite game is a hard thing to pin down. Right now I am playing Red Steel 2. I picked it up cheap but new from a local game store. (So I support the local economy!)

However at the very moment, I'm trying to get Earth Bound to load. I'm installing Java update 9 right now. I figure if I do that, restart, the game will load faster.

I hope so anyway.

Awesome theme you have going. One of my greatest desires is for someone to do a Mod for the PC versions of Ace Combat (perhaps 6 since that had a good Operating system) and make custom missions and skins for Star Fox and other sci-fi games. (Imagine the Exodus Episode from Battlestar Galactica, but in a game format.)

I had played the top down Asteroids style Battlestar game. It was fun, but could have been better. I have an account for the BSG online game by Big Point, but my connection speed is so slow it's hard to keep up with it.

Actually for the java games, is connection speed an issue?

Also, is there a procedure for the emulators? I open the screen, it says the emulator is loading, then I have a black box.
I've tried hitting 'enter' and that just makes my cursor go away.

Am I doing it wrong? As the meme goes, "Not sure if doing it wrong, or just slow connection speed"

As it turns out, I'm running on OS 10.5.8 (not the 6 which seems to be the minimum for effective Java usage.) It was time for an upgrade anyway. It'll probably be Tuesday before I can actually play the games, but as I said before. I've got all of summer ahead of me.
