I think Lucario and Zoroark are both good in their own right. Of course, Lucario has the type advantage AND a 4x resistance to Dark.

Definitely Lucario. I don't know if this goes for the Pokémon games, but in Super Smash Bros, Lucario gets epically stronger the more damage is done to him. I find this extremely useful especially when there is little time left in the game, and you get that ONE kill that makes you win the game.

I think if Lucario battled he would win since he is a fighting type and he is epic. I don't know who the other pokemon is so for me the default epic fighter would have to be lucario since he is a fighting type pokemon and he has some pretty nice moves.
