Here is my submission. I took one of my 2 teaching content exams 3 days ago. I have 2 content exams to take (aside from the teaching PRAXIS exam), and my content areas are speech/theater and biology. The one I took was my biology content exam. Not only did I pass, I scored in the top 7% of everyone in the country. So that means when I pass my PRAXIS exam, I will be a licensed Biology teacher. Just need to take my speech/theater to also be licensed there too. 

Who are all the people on our team? I know that there are more than the list shows on the first post of this thread. I want to summon them there to get some submissions. With this competition, having the most submissions can be the difference of keeping our lead or someone potentially catching up to us, being every submission is guaranteed points. Even if they don't have good submissions, I want those guaranteed points. 

rcarter2 :  Dont we have until the ninth or tenth?  I will definitely have a submission in one or 2 days.

mlb789 : Something like that, but I wanted to summon them as soon as possible just so it isn't a last day scramble to get more submissions.

rcarter2 : And leggy also wants "proof" of what you did, so you might have to put a picture or something with your submission.

After all the downloading from the steam summer sale, I really pushed the Internet usage last month :/ so my only access is via my phone. I've checke my notifications like twice the past couple days. I'll try to do something real stellar though, I guess.

Crap. I need to find out how to get a picture of this. It wasn't sent by mail. It is online that doesn't allow you to copy the information there. Tried taking a picture of my screen with a camera, but you can't read it. I'll try to figure this out.

legacyme3 : so if it is something you have no way of providing a picture of, is it unusable?

Do you have Snipping Tool? It should be on your computer if it's Windows 7.

It depends on what it is, I might be willing to make exemptions in certain cases.

rcarter2 : get a programme called puush... that's what i use when i want to take screen shots of my monitor and stuff that should work sir!

sonicmcmuffin : I have whatever came with my computer. It allows me to take snapshots, but since it is another form of copying, the site protects against it. I'll try a few things to see if I can get it.

First of all let me apologise for the rubbishness that are these photos.... it's damn hard trying to take a photo with a laptop in one hand .... 

Anyways i went to a dodge ball tournament today... and our team performed well and managed to pick up a medal .... this was what i was hoping to achieve today... but what's even better is that i won the "last man standing" which is basically a huge game of dodge ball where everyone takes part and if you get out once you cannot re-enter.... I must have beaten at least 50+ other dodgeballers... so I'm pretty damn proud of this tbh. Also i won $40 for winning the last man standing as well.

This was hard for me because I've never done anything remarkable in my entire life.

However, today I finally found time to go get my driver's license renewed; it expired the June before last. So, between Lazlo being busy with our only car/not having Lazlo to be home to watch our daughter (we have no friends or family in the state), it's been a real pain in the ass to orchestrate. That coupled with my mild anxiety about driving in new places, ESPECIALLY illegally to get down to the DMV which is like 20 minutes away really sucked. But, I wasn't even nervous, I was super chill even though it was storming like crazy, got my driver's license back finally, and stopped on the way home to get something special fixed for Lazlo that he's been hounding me about for months and months. It's an awesome feeling to assume you're going to be a nervous wreck or that you're going to be pulled over or something, and then prove yourself wrong and have everything go right and to be completely calm the whole time. It's a little accomplishment, but it's a personal one. I've been trying to get over being anxious for years, so every little mountain I can get over makes me that much more eager to keep improving.

So, I'm feeling on top of the world! I don't much enjoy having to be chauffeured around, and Lazlo hates going grocery shopping or whatever else I want to do, so it's nice to have some freedom back in my life! It's much overdo. So, I'm glad I conquered what little anxiety I actually felt today, pegged Lazlo down and told him I had sh*t to do, and just went out and got crap done. It feels awesome!

So that's my sort of somewhat brilliant but not really accomplishment. It's an entry at least. Sorry I couldn't do much better, Mongooses. =(

Okay, time for my submission. This isn't entirely new for this week, but it got a badass update, so it's an awesome accomplishment. I also used a sketchy photobucket app to upload a picture, so I hope it works.

Now what is this BAMF that lies before you? A fierce 180 foot waterslide aptly named Pat Jenkins (a story for another day). Just as Rome was not built in a day, Pat Jenkins was not built this week. He merely became 110% cooler. Allow me to elaborate. We had some pretty cray storms on the 7th, and our retro/checkerboard bathroom linoleum that gives Pat his speed was flung all over the place in the 60+ mile per hour winds. So yesterday, my dad and I took on the looming task of making Pat stronger, faster, and more enduring to great weather. We sanded, we sawed, and we placed the final 2x4s down this afternoon. After rolling out the linoleum, it was clear that this was a major awesome upgrade to our humble ol' backyard waterslide.

Change log!

- The plywood below the linoleum was smoothed down, and warped boards were replaced.
- Two inch tall borders go down both sides of the slide all the way down, preventing riders from tumbling off the sides, as well as preventing even the strongest winds from picking up the linoleum
- Extended transition at the end of the slide. It's somewhat shallow at the bottom, and unsuspecting sliders might plant their feet or nosedive into the sand at the bottom of the lake
- Torn material and rusty washers replaced
- New paint job!
- Much faster

So, my dad and I didn't build an insanely cool, super speedy waterslide this week. But we've been working almost nonstop the past two days to give it this revolutionary upgrade, and it paid off.

You said if it takes a year to do, then it counts. This took about a year to get this many performance points, and it's very hard to earn them period.
