I think the horse meat thing is blown out of proportion personally. I know there are valid reasons to be upset about it but in the end "meat" has been corrupted for a long time. I don't trust that my food is actually beef or chicken or whatever else the package claims unless I'm buying uncooked beef or chicken. Otherwise it could be anything.

Actually, I'm not much into conspiracies, but I tell my husband all the time that I don't believe most meat we buy is actually 'meat'.  I think it's all the nasty stuff around the meat, and not even necessarily of the animal the packaging claims it to be.  Sort of like what geeogree said.    I mean, hot dogs are disgusting.  I imagine they're one of the more obvious cases, but I imagine that most meat is kind of like a hot dog in terms of diverse contents.

I actually was in charge of our school's chess club, though that quickly failed.
