I was just wondering what drives people to buy certain games. Personally I rarely buy games that don't support trophies(PS3). I am a collector and I like to compete with my friends and other gamers I meet. I also wont buy a game if the price is ridiculously high. I have some games that I wait for to come out and will buy them right when the come out but not many. I usually wait till the price drops or a pre-owned copy is there, provided I don't need an online code or something that only comes with a new copy. And lastly of course I buy games for the game play and story!

I am also a collector of older video games. I usually hit EB Games/Game Stop once or twice a week to check out if there are any other games to buy to add to my collection. I have all the systems so you can imagine the collection I have! Being a girl I get a lot of hassle for this but I don't care!

So what do you look for in a game when you buy them?

Hmmm... Never really though about why I buy certain games. Mostly for the Story and game play 
Usually it's a sequel to a game a already played or part of a series like Final Fantasy or Resident Evil
or friends tell me about a certain game being fun
if I'm not sure about the game I check for reviews on it, gameplay vids, or just wait for the price to drop

I buy games that look fun to me. A lot of the time, I won't listen to game reviews of I think a game is cool. I generally prefer RPGs/Strategy to shooters and action games though, so that could drive my decisions.
