Yes. With screens. Bulbapedia defines a Nuzlocke as a "set of rules intended to create a higher level of difficulty while playing the Pokémon games". The specific rules I'll be using on this adventure are pretty much the normal rules you would expect on an average Nuzlocke.

~Any Pokemon that faints is considered dead, and must be released.

~The player may only catch the first Pokemon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokemon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.

~All Pokemon must be nicknamed. I'm awesome because I'm going to name all my precious 'mons after you guise. Thank me (or not) later.

Pick smoochum because it evolves into jynx. Nobody likes jynx.

You should pick Elekid. Electric types are strong, and are weak to water. And lakes and water type Pokémon usually don't happen until after the first gym battle.

thing1 : you got it wrong, electric types are super effective to water. When I played the game I actually ditched my starter and instead I used torchic treeko and mudkip.

mourinhosgum : grrr... I hate to sandwich post, but in that case, what is electric weak to then? I though electric was weak to water?

It can ot do any damage to ground types and ground types are super effective to it.

Pick E-l-e-kid. He is an electric type, and none of the other so called starters are strong against him. He evolves into a strong Elect-a-buzz.
I'm not a fan of Pokémon N-u-z-locks, but I love to see a daily forum Pokémon adventure. It's appealing to me for some reason.

Electric types are NOT weak to water. Anyway, I like Jynx. Let's continue. I'll remind everyone that the first Pokemon I see rule does not come into effect until I have a Pokedex and Pokeballs.

Taking on Gary outside Viridian. Where did he even get a Zubat?! One Powder Snow took it out easily enough, though.



Magby was also easily disposed of via KG's Tackle.



And I caught a (male) Pokemon. Should be useful for HMs and Pick-Up, at least.

Hilarious! You should have lots of potions for Pokémon you want to keep alive. You should definitely get the starters people give you.

You shouldn't get any of the starters that people give out, they're overpowered, and would make the game too easy. Just skip them, and move on.

Tj, do you want to even continue this? Also, do you think I might be one of the pokemon you will catch?

Hey tj , I know this thread was made about 4 months ago ( according from Sairek Ceareste's post ) , but i still want to see your nuzlocked game play ..  I'm a big fan of " nuzlocked " pokemon game plays .. I always attempt to do a nuzlock run in every pokemon game i play .. The very first pokemon game where i used a nuzlocked team to finish the elite four was on pokemon gold , it kinda resulted as a success .. I succeed to beat the elite four using my own nuzlocked team on pokemon gold . I enjoyed that run , but it kinda made my game play more difficult ..

For those who don't know what a nuzlocke run is :
 Doing a nuzlocke run is easy , it only has two rule which you can't change .. 
Rule number 1 : You can only capture the first Pokemon you encounter in each new area you reached .. 
For example : ( In the viridian forest ) You fist saw a caterpie ( you should catch this caterpie whether you like it or not ) , then you saw a pikachu ( you can't catch this pokemon , that is against the rules of nuzlockes ) .. You get the idea ..
Rule number 2 : If a pokemon has fainted ( even just one time ) , it should be considered dead and you should release it ( some nuzlocke players don't do this but they don't know that they are not doing nuzlocke any more ) ..
For example : You have a charmander . Then , it fainted after battling brock , you should release your charmander and never use it again .. ( sounds difficult ? , thats what nuzlocke is [ makes your game play more longer and more difficult ] ) ..
