The first pokemon I ever caught was Starly because the first pokemon game I every played was Diamond. I went back and played all of the other pokemon games and beat them but my first pokemon was in deed a Starly around the level of 3.

Uh if I remember correctly, the first non starter Pokemon I ever caught was a Pidgey in Pokemon Red, many many years ago!

Pidgey was the first wild Pokemon to appear in the grass and I knew I'd eventually need a Flying type to use the Fly TM, so I captured and kept it till it fully evolved to Pidgeot!
