Ok, so I've had multiple games installed onto this laptop before, and every single one of them have had to be uninstalled because it WILL NOT SHOW ANYTHING. It will load the game up right, but nothing appears. I've fixed any errors it tells me to fix, and it STILL won't work.
If anyone with good computer and laptop knowledge could help me, I'd really appreciate it. And just to help out a bit, my laptop is an IBM ThinkPad T30 and it runs on Windows XP.

And to make this quick and easy for anyone who asks, THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE RGR WHATSOEVER.

Any idea when the last time it was that the games would run? If you do, you could run a System Restore and see if that works. Other than that, maybe try running a virus scan, although I doubt that's what the problem is. Couldn't hurt to try, though.

soxfan849 : I don't remember specifically, but it was before I had the BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) and had to erase everything so I could fix the laptop. I should also mention that when it got fixed, it was downgraded. I had Windows XP Professional, but I now have Windows XP normal.
I highly doubt it's a virus due to the reasons above, Nya~.

What sort of games are you trying to play (Just a couple for reference)? Are they full-screen games? Do windowed games work? Do any games work? Do you have the proper version of DirectX? Are your video card drivers up to date? Are there any other programs that don't work?

Also, according to ThinkWiki:

The T30 has a design flaw that results in one of the two memory slots failing over time. Both slots may fail eventually if the problem is not dealt with.


You should check how much RAM your computer is reporting and make sure it's the number you expect.

Video Card - DirectX 8.1-compatible video card of any type with at least 64 megabytes of video RAM, Your on board only has 16MB RADEON 7500 ATI Mobility video chipset.
Memory - 256mb needed, your computer only supports 1gb TOTAL, with XP running you don't meet those requirements.
