*I saw in the rules that advertising isn't allowed EXCEPT in the web splurge forum, so forgive me if there's a rule that I'm still breaking*
Hey guys! Check out my friend's private server for RuneScape (based on RuneScape 2 I believe). It's pretty buggy at the moment, but he and his coders are constantly working on fixes for it. The only bugs I found are...- Almost every door is bugged (can't open them)
- You can't talk to certain NPCs
If you can get past that, it has a lot of great current and upcoming features, like Increased rates (I'm not sure how much though), Dungeoneering, clan support, and custom NPCs that assign you slayer tasks. From what I hear, player houses and sound support are on the way, too. Also, if you're like me and want to start from scratch as a level 3, then just ask Vex or the other admins and they'll nuke your stats so you can progress to the top on your own. Speaking of admins, they are VERY nice people and are happy to assist you with anything you need, like the aforementioned stats reset. Lastly, it's hosted on RSWebClients, but their web client is bugged at the moment, so you'll have to download their InsanityX client. KEEP IN MIND that VexedScape is not up all of the time. It's currently down as I write this.
Follow these steps once you download it:
1) Put the VexedScape.Client folder anywhere outside the archive.
2) Open the folder, right click the .bat file called "1RUN" and click "Edit."
Step 3 (Basically, if the file path doesn't lead to your Java folders, then change it accordingly)
4) Double-click 1RUN.bat and the rest of the files will be prepared for you (it's more convenient to make a shortcut to it on your desktop)!
That's it! You're done! Hope you enjoy VexedScape!
