"If former President George W. Bush said 500 million Americans are losing their jobs each month, do you think media would report it?

Probably every hour on the hour until all 300 million Americans had heard about it, right?"

I just don't have faith in people when they don't know the difference between thousand and million. Do we honestly trust them to spend our money properly?

If she had said million and then corrected herself to say thousand then I would be more forgiving but the fact that she said 500 million without missing a beat makes me nervous.
