As the title says, this game is absolutely ghastly, and yes, that is a bad pun, however, it is also used to describe the awfulness of this game. Now, I must start by saying that the game doesn't draw you in, and doesn't make you want to keep playing. Now, lets get to the actual review. The first thing on our list is the graphics. I gave them a 5, because compared to other Pokémon games on the game boy, it is the same. However, I gave it 5, because of the colors. If it was just black and white (not a pun) like the originals, then it would be fine, but the colors are just ugly to look at, at least for my eyes. The next thing is the sound, which I hear a lack of, and when there are sounds, they are not pleasant. I gave the sound a 1. Next is the addictiveness, and as I said before, you don't want to keep playing it... I gave the addictiveness a 1 due to, once again, the lack of willingness to play. I will now cover the story. Apparently you joined team rocket, but aside from that, the story barely changed, earning this game yet another 1. The depth, once again, a 1. It takes a while to complete, but it is the same as any other Pokémon game. I can not give this game any higher than a 1, due to the lack of material in it. And lastly, we come to the highest rating, and, trust me, it is a 10 that you don't want. I am talking about the difficulty, and it is so hard, that it is ridiculous. Some trainers have over-leveled Pokémon, and your rival, in the first battle, has a freaking level 200+ Rhydon to combat your poor, innocent level 5 starter! Over all, this game absolutely, positively SUCKS! As the title says, this game is absolutely ghastly, and yes, that is a bad pun, however, it is also used to describe the awfulness of this game.
