I'm a huge Four Loko Drinker. I've drunk almost every flavor that's distributed down here in Texas. Only for 21+ folks, what's your favorite flavor? Mines are Blue Raspberry, Uva, and Strawberry Lemonade.

Since im in the uk, i could legaly have drunk that at any age.
I havent even heard of it though.acording to the web it originated as an energy drink. That creates uncertainty.

It's banned here in the city of Chicago now, so I never got around to trying it. I know that a few of my friends have stated that they had bad experiences drinking it though. For whatever that's worth.

thenumberone : Well it's banned here because they think that flavored energy drinks with alcohol have strange effects on people, and is an unsafe additive to alcohol and also because they feel like these drinks are marketing mainly towards an under age audience.

The FDA also issued a warning:

"On November 17, 2010 the U.S. FDA Food and Drug Administration issued a warning letter to four manufacturers of caffeinated alcohol beverages citing that the caffeine added to their malt alcoholic beverages is an “unsafe food additive” and said that further action, including seizure of their products, may occur under federal law.[25] It declared that beverages that combine caffeine with alcohol, such as Four energy drinks, are a "public health concern" and can't stay on the market in their current form.[26][27] The FDA also stated that concerns have been raised that caffeine can mask some of the sensory cues individuals might normally rely on to determine their level of intoxication. I'm not a fan of them, of course I'm not really a fan of malt liquor so that would explain it, but I read somewhere that four loko can be used as a substitute fuel for cars to run on...something about that doesn't sound right to me, if it can do that what is it doing inside of my body?! That scares me a little, just hand me a beer and I am cool on the four.

I miss the energy fused ones.there was something about that energy blend that made them taste just right. Now I try em and they just don't have the same feel. My favorite was the strawberry lemonade one  

I remember trying the grape flavor a long time ago and it tasted weird, I thought it was juice and just brought it. A few months later I realize that they were not at my local stores anymore. Recently this year I have seen them in the stores again when I thought they were banned drinks. My fiend use to love drinking that crap.

Four Loko underwent huge changes after legislation forced it to lower the alcohol content of its beverage. The mix of caffeine and alcohol has a bad effect on the heart and many underage people were falling ill and even dying due to its content. The Four Loko you can buy today is a mere shadow of its former self.



Anyway, I have a suggestion if you're into this kind of drink. A lot of of the punk and grunge scene kids drink what's called a Sidewalk Slammer: you drink an ice cold "fotie" (I prefer High Life) down to the label then put a tall boy of Sparks into the bottle. The drink tastes a lot better than it sounds and it will have you hitting on prospective morbidly obese mating partners in no time flat. Someone introduced it to me at a rock show and I've done it a few times since then.
