You're probably wondering what is this exactly?
-Well, in a nutshell, I'll mod-up your fire red version in exchange for a few viz

How does it work?
-What I do is present to you a set of features, choose what'd you like, compile them in one .ips patch then send it to you. You can then apply it to your ROM so you can play it

Will it work with the Vizzed Plugin?
-Well it should work, technically the rgr vizzed plugin for gba is roughly based on vba so it supports .ips patching.

Any features you plan adding in the near future?
-well definitely no moveset or stat changes and Gen 4/5 pokes. What I want is to add in stuff but still enable you to legitimately trade/link up with any other Pokémon game without any trouble.

How do I use it?
-You use LIPS (Lunar IPS) which is a patching tool http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/

How do I use it with the Vizzed Plugin?
-I'll detail the instructions below





CURRENT LIST OF FEATURES (as of Jun. 24 2012)

Physical-Special Split (300 viz)
-adds in Gen 4 physical and special split for Pokémon moves ex: Fire Punch and Blaze Kick are now physical instead of special.


Day and Night System (100 viz)
-an aesthetic feature that makes it dark in-game during nights. This feature also fixes the umbreon (level up with max happiness during night) and espeon (level up with max happiness during day) evolutions.

Pokémon of the Week/Month (500 viz)
-every once in a while we give out event Pokémon which changes weekly/monthly. This week's/month's PotW/M is a surfing Pikachu (it fits the summer theme as well)


Running in-doors (50 viz)
-enables you to use your running shoes even if you're inside houses and buildings.

Trade Evolution Lady (50 viz)
-enables evolution for some Pokémon with out the need to trade, certain limitations are still in place for example you can't evolve a Pokémon that has a Gen 2/3 evolution unless you have defeated the E4 at least once and Pokémon that requires a held item still requires the item however it must be in the bag instead of being held by the Pokémon.

to see if your vizzed plugin supports .ips
what you need to do is download the .ips file (link above) then put it in your Roms folder
to get to the Roms folder: (for Win XP)

1. Click on your start menu
2. Click on All Programs
3. Then Vizzed Retro Game Room
4. Then Open Plugin Data Folder

from there you should be able to see the Roms folder

then you should be able to run in-doors (well, as soon as you get running shoes that is)

I'm not very good at applying patches, but I would love to get a Fire Red with the physical/special split. Might as well get the running indoors, and changes to all trade evolutions. I'll give you the Viz when I confirm it works. btw, PM me and tell me where you got the patch for the physical/special split.

tj4bigred : I can apply it on a fire red rom and just send you the rom directly if you want, however if you would like to play fire red on vizzed then you'll need the .ips is it okay if I take a few days before sending the patch I'm changing the change all trade evolutions feature to something similar but doesn't require changing the evolution method.

Sounds pretty cool, what kinnd of stuff can you add? Like can you upgrade the pokedex or make it possible to catch Lugia or Ho-Oh. How many Viz's would it cost, like 100 viz's to 500 or something like that?

I would probably just use my own emulator, so that seems good.

Also, I'm curious how we would get the Pokemon of the week.

I meant: Do you want US to download the emulator, or are you going to, I dunno perhaps copy the emulator and send it or something like that.

BTW: I'm talking about the Mediafire Upgrade thing.

@mario enabling natl. dex at the start could result in some complications so I wont be touching that at least not yet, although the mystic and aurora ticket would probably be doable. I'm trying for small edits because adding in lotsa stuff then I might as well make a full hack which unfortunately, don't have enough time to spend.

@tj4 any Pokémon and items(maybe added in the future) will all be available at the first floor of celadon mart some would require meeting certain conditions like gym badges and other items before you receive them.

@cat I guess I could add in the emulator, I need to be informed beforehand though so I would know and just downloading it should be fine

This could be the best pokemon game hack for fire red

haruna21 : could I possibly get all of those I have already played pkmn fire red all the way through and I could possibly try to play a new game of it with this stuff.
I'll actually pay you 5000 if you can throw in some extra stuff for me for this game or even others.
I also want to know how you do this with downloaded roms. I have a Get-your-roms.com Platinum membership and I love to download stuff from there. So extra extras would be great mainly for Pokémon, Final Fantasy, Goldeneye for N64, and maybe even yu-gi-oh.

If you go above and beyond to help me get extra rom stuff I'll increase even the 5000 Viz payment.
