I was relying on Save States for Zelda: Oracle of Ages and messed up my previous save by accidentally saving at a very bad point: after the game had frozen. I meant to go back to the previous save, but I fat-fingered the wrong button and now I'm stuck.

My question is: Is there any way to restore a frozen game?
If not, then is it possible to start from someone else's save state (assuming I can find one at a similar state of progression)?

I was about half ways through the game, and I'm really not interested in restarting from the beginning

That sucks. I think we have all done that at least once before. There are websites with save states that you can download that are at different points of all games. Since the RGR saves are now saved locally, you could download the SS and then insert it in the RGR folder on your PC. That should work just fine.

Thank you Jordanv. I didn't realize the saves are local. That helps a lot

[edit] I'm trying to find the folder where the save states are held. The folder in Program Files doesn't appear to have them. I'm running Windows 7 if that helps at all in locating the files.
