I was recently at a friend's and we were playing N64 and talking about old games we used to play in addition to playing some of them. I think it was thanks to NFL Blitz that the conversation shifted slight to Sega Genesis and the Mutant League games.

My brother and I used to play both of them all the time. From what I remember we preferred the Hockey game. It had a fun little mini-game when fights broke out and the loser got extra penalty time. I haven't played either of them in ages, but I've recently taken to looking for them any time I'm in game store that sells classic systems and games. At some point I'm sure I'll cave and get a Genesis emulator to play them.

I hope others here have played too, and also that there hasn't been a thread about them recently. I looked, but I admit not 100% thoroughly. Shameful, I know.

If you have played, which was you favorite and what was your favorite about each? I've forgotten a lot about both of them I'm sure.

I did used to play IceHockey game on NES though that'd let you punch on!

Wayne Gretzgeis (Horrible at spelling his name lol) 3D Hockey was an awesome N64 hockey game. You could freeze the whole arena and view everything on the ice pretty sweet feature. It also had fights in it so it was like a Hockey meet's Rockey type of game

I used to have Wayne Gretsky (I think that's how it's spelled) hockey games too, haha. Not sure which systems, I think Genesis and 64 most likely.

I actually bought the EA Replay Collection for PSP a couple of weeks ago. Not too long after I posted this, I think. It has Mustant League Football on it. I don't even own a PSP, hahaha. I play it on my roommate's.

I remember a few football games that would have little fighting mini-games too. I miss that feature in sports games. Well, maybe it still exists in some, I never really buy sports games anymore. I still like them, just I mostly buy RPGs these days.

It's good times though it was always more fun in two-player form. Ah well.

I love that game. The fights, the power shots (not the brick wall goalies, I hate those) and even a few mini games.

Mutant League Hockey was one of best games I ever played! I loved it as a kid, and still love today, nothing better then beating the other players with what ever weapons you can get on in the rink. I love the fake penalties, like "So&so is penalized for getting frostbite."
