In our district, there are several high schools in the area. There are six to be exact: North Cobb,Allatoona, Campbell, Kennesaw Mountain, and Wheeler. A lot of the students are going to North Cobb or Allatoona (that was about a 45/35% split). About 10% went to Kennesaw Mountain and then 5% went to Wheeler (nobody went to Campbell). This divided and separated several of my closest friends. The bad thing about it is the fact that you can't choose which High School to go to; unless you're a part of the magnet program, you have to go to the high school in your zoned district even if your parents wanted to drive you.

I've heard from many that this separation usually happened between the transition of elementary- middle or high- college. Did you guys have this happen to you when you came out of middle school?

It hasn't happened to me considering I'm in the UK and Middle and High school are the same thing here but called Secondary school. I wasn't so happy leaving Primary/Elementary school. My school might close down so it will have a similar effect. I know none of my friends are going to the school as me.
