I call Mirror shiny the kind of pokemon that has stars flying around it's body when it's let out, but it doesn't have a color difference, except a tad lighter or a tad darker, I got the idea when I found one like that on Pokemon Light Platinum, it was a Butterfree, I put it as a screenshot if you wanna look at it.

Considering I don't know about a mirror shiny, It is probably better than a regular. But of the ones I know Shiny are usually much cooler (even though it makes some Pokémon look like vomit.)

Ah, I see. Those are actually shinies that didn't had their sprite palette inserted, if you open them with a Pokémon sprite editor you'll see 2 normal front and back sprites instead of the usual 1 normal 1 shiny. If that's the case then I like that more mostly because its so obscure and hard to notice especially if your zipping through battles

I prefer shiny Pokémon, especially shiny mareep, because it looks like a big ball of cotton candy with legs. <3
However sometimes I wish some Pokémon had more variations for shinies, like maybe more than one color. I'm forever wishing shiny skitty was bright blue instead of red, so I could name it cobalt. xD

Your "Mirror Shiny" definition is actually just a normal Shiny Pokemon. Some Shiny Pokemon just don't have that much of a color difference. For example, the shiny form of Pikachu is only a slightly darker shade of yellow. It's just a regular shiny.

To answer your question, Shiny Pokemon have slightly higher overall stats than regular Pokemon. So that technically makes them better than regular Pokemon as far as battling goes.

It really depends on the pokemon for me, some look better as shiny and some look as worse as shiny.
I do prefer shines though since SHINY THINGS! my favorite shiny would have to be ho-oh and latias. <3

I really like the plain Pokémon, because they are the basic colors and shiny Pokémon are overrated.  I guess it really comes down to the fact that the regular Pokémon have the feel of being natural.
