In my opinion the HTC or Samsung.
I think they could be the best because of they cater to me, the individual while the iPhone4S had the middle classed in mind which I believe tries to separate iPhone users from the slightly-less-expensive-and-powerful
(?) Android users which again does not sit well with me, even if that was intended.

Android has one of the largest plethoras of applications and various other goodies for free that the app store does not (and the best part is that since Android is Java based it offers a great platform for game developers to start on).
All in all I would choose to purchase an Android for these reasons.

I disagree. It's the iPhone. The reason why is say that, is becuase my dad has the Droid, and although it has great quality / internet speed is incredible, it doesn't match that of the 4s. The 4s is indeed slower, and has a shorter battery life, but at the end of the day, from what I've seen, the Droid runs out of battery life way too quickly and it tends to malfunction to often for it to be a device that I would enjoy having.
