I've only ever used Opera on the Wii. That's likely not the best example of it. It was functional of course, and the only connection I had to the internet for an entire summer once (I didn't yet have a computer and leeched a nearby wireless signal).

Hocrap I just realized once I get my Wii set up and connected to the internet again it's going to have so many damn updates to do. >.<

It's much smarter to update everything though. Windows has all of its programs very inbuilt into the main system. Updating will generally improve performance and safety.

Don't steer him off track, Opera is THE fastest browser around. Also: Opera takes less than 6MB space, Chrome take more than 50.

In short: Chrome is really really not worth it.
